The Original Foveaux Cod Catcher - Premium NZ Cod Rig with 8/0 Hooks

The rig that started it all. First engineered for the challenging conditions of Foveaux Strait, the Original Foveaux Cod Catcher is a premium NZ-made fishing rig built to outperform mass-market tackle wherever you fish in New Zealand.

Key Features:

• 380lb bone line for maximum strength and durability
• Size 8/0 hooks designed for cod fishing in NZ waters
• 360° swivel prevents line twist and tangles
• Sacrificial sinker release system protects your investment
• Handcrafted in New Zealand for local conditions

Why Choose the Original?
This isn't generic fishing tackle. Every Original Cod Catcher is built by fishermen who understand NZ conditions, from the Foveaux Strait to the top of the North Island. The 380lb line handles the toughest snags, the 8/0 hooks are sized perfectly for NZ cod, and the sacrificial release means you lose the sinker, not the entire rig.

Perfect For: Cod fishing anywhere around the New Zealand coastline. Ideal for fishermen who demand reliability and performance from their tackle.

Proudly made in New Zealand. Not mass-market compromise.
