Foveaux Cod Catcher was the product of a backyard entrepreneur, passionate fisherman and very good friend Ross Tonkin.

Since taking over Foveaux Cod Catcher in 2012,  we have taken on the challenge of producing top-notch & innovative recreational fishing products. These products continue to be handmade here in Southland, the home of the Blue Cod.

With the help of experienced local fisherman, we have trialed and tested various rig setups. After creating a number of top functioning rigs, we were able to narrow it down to those that meet our high standards of quality build, maximum lure and minimum tangles.

We are extremely happy with the outcomes and so were our experienced fishermen who continue to reel them in.
